Light works

Light, colour and space are the guiding principles of Dahlhausen’s work. Light in particular, both natural and artificial, as well as its interaction with reflective and translucent materials, have long been the focus of his interest.

»In his light works, the artist creates tension that pulsates between technical hardware and luminous glow, between image and gaze, and interweaves the dividing lines between work, space and observation. The boundaries between material, light and appearance are laid out in such a way that they undermine human perception and make the transition from one medium to another appear seamless.« (Bettina Pelz)
