In January 2024, the great and important French artist Vera Molnar would have turned 100 years old. She had countless solo and group exhibitions and is represented in almost all important collections worldwide.

To mark this occasion, Dahlhausen developed the exhibition ‘Vera Molnar et des amis’ in collaboration with the gallery and Edition youngcollectors.de at the Bonn contemporary art space ‘Das Esszimmer’. Sadly, the grand dame of Concrete Art passed away shortly before her milestone birthday at the end of December 2023. The exhibition thus became a successful posthumous tribute.
Vera Molnar was a staunch European and had many friends among her colleagues worldwide. Christoph Dahlhausen and editor Dagmar Weste were also close friends of Vera Molnar and accompanied her closely during her final years. One of the French artist’s last works was the edition ‘Röslein, Röslein…’, which Vera Molnar realised with Edition youngcolletors.de (YC).
The exhibition brought together works by several international colleagues who were connected to Vera in various ways and were also artists in the YC portfolio. Some works and artists dealt directly with aspects of Vera Molnar’s work. The response referred to the colour, the geometric-constructive approaches, the order, the humour or the seriality of Molnar’s works.
